The following are photos of my 'Masterpiece" (thus far), 'First
Signature', and  'Dream Canopy' Bed. I used my Best Logs
with the Most Character that I've Gathered over the Past Few
Years.
(the Arch is in the
background before sanding
in the above photo and to
the right is 3/4 of a load)
But I Guess it's all Worth it in the
End.

The Arch on the Headboard with the Three Branches is a Rare Find. I
found  it at the end of my logging in the Summer of 2005. It was a
Cloudy Day and just like a Scene out of a Movie, when I saw the Arch,
the Sun Broke through and Shined Down on it like it was the Holey
Grail or something, but No Angels were Singing. It actually made me
laugh.

I had to Carry the Arch a Half Mile along with a few other logs which
took about 4 Hours of 40 Yards at a time and  was one of the Last
Logs I carried that Summer because My Knees were in too much Pain
from Wear and Tear of  Carrying 6 Loads of  Heavy Logs down a Very
Steep Incline... But the View wasn't Bad.

Still, just Looking at the Arch or this Photo makes My
Knees Hurt.
I Consider the Bed  my 'Dream Bed' because I wanted to build
a Canopy, with Lots of Character, for 'My' Bedroom ever since I
saw my Dad build  His First  Canopy about Thirteen Years Ago.
Of  Course, it took  Learning the Craft, Finding the Logs,
Free-Time, Motivation, and having a Bedroom Big Enough to
put it in to Complete it.
